At this years Rebel Salute, the CEO of Song for Jamaica/SABA John Downie who has now teamed up with The Reggae Star Factor UK's Diane'Bassy'Black and his Uk media team joined in the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the now two day event!

Rebel Salute took place in St Ann at Grizzly's plantation cove in Priory and although it was real muddy due to wet weather earlier in the day, it did not dampen the spirits of the fans coming out.

The likes of Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Third world band, Marcia Griffiths,Capleton, Da'ville, Cocoa Tea, Bushman, Jessie Royal, Lutan fyah, Jahmiel, Elephantman, plus many many more...not forgetting our own UK's JC Lodge who took a little while to warm the crowd, but once she did her famous hit tracks "Telephone love" and " Someone loves you", the crowd was buzzing!

Gospel artist Glacia Robinson bought church to event, and you could just feel God's presence.

Ding dongs dancing  vibes just gave the show a whole new twist, it was fast paced, energetic and a delight to watch.

After a few performances by the reggae/dancehall stalwarts, John interviewed some of the artistes.

The food, drinks and atmosphere was awesome, police and security was very tight and the event itself was one of the best events of 2018 so far, UKU/Song for Jamaica will be back next stop Sumfest!
